“This publication folds together disparate narrative strands and formal devices in an attempt to extract a hybridized union. A cat swallows a fish. Now its gills draw oxygen, and through its mouth is a tunnel into an inner cavity filled with color and blood, byways & through lines. These images were made over the past 3 years, using a variety of means at my disposal: a camera, scanner, mirrors, fabric, dyes, ink, paper and a pirated copy of CS4.” (Artist’s statement)
