These women created this society in 2011 along with a blog detailing their exploits to empower women and normalize female nudity. The topless protest began as the “free the nipple” movement gained traction. This group’s primary objective, according to their website, is “to create awareness that New York law allows toplessness in public, and to change social attitudes to the exposure of women's breasts.” Artist Richard Prince photographed the women reading their pulps all over New York City including near the Flat Iron building and in Central Park and printed this photo book in an edition of 300.
