In 2013 Araki lost his sight in his right eye. In response he produced this set of images whereby the right side is blacked out for a show at his Tokyo gallery Taka Ishii and this catalogue in a short run of only 300 copies. The title is also an hommage to Ed van der Elsken's seminal book Love on the Left Bank. "Left bank" translates in Japanese as Sagan which also means left eye. Item #15295
