New York: Prestel, 2015.
Steve Hiett's book Beyond Blonde published by Prestel draws upon fifty years of fashion photography first exhibited at the Hyeres Photography Festival last year.
Best known for his vivid color style shot using exterior flash, refined years before the advent of digital photography, his images are characterized by tack sharp, richly textured figures set against indefinable urban landscapes and radiant blue skies in deep focus. He typifies an era of experimental fashion photography that emerged in the late seventies in the British, French and Italian magazines of the period.
Of his unique style Hiett says "I don't think of myself as 'a photographer.' I think of myself as someone who uses the camera to create images that I see in my head." Item #15576
