Born in 1974, Fumiko Imano spent her childhood in Rio de Janeiro. After studying in London at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design she returned to Hitachi in Japan where she currently lives and works. With numerous self-published zines and a series of exhibitions to her name, she has been gathering a devoted following for her seemingly candid photographic self-portraits.
