Born in Amersfoort, Holland, Robbert Flick s artistic practice is urban and uniquely Los Angeles in its conceptual approach to landscape photography. This book was published in conjuction with the first major retrospective at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, LACMA, in 2005. Trajectories traces the artist's career from the 1970s to the present, providing the opportunity to examine his visual development while also charting the conceptual and philosophical impact of contemporary culture on landscape, cultural geography, and technology.
