This is the fourth in our zine series with Grace Ahlbom, featuring outtakes from a Supreme skate trip to Mexico City. In CDMX, Ahlbom documents a group of boys skating in Mexico City in the spring of 2019. Concrete spans the pages; historic buildings take a backseat to staircases, city benches, and street corners. "I came across these photographs again while going through my archive during quarantine and I was struck by how different they resonated at a time when we all were, or mostly still are, indoors. Freely being outside and in public spaces together now seems more like a fading memory and a distant future, and looking at these photos again in that liminal space gave them a new sense of meaning to me. Skating relies on the nuances that rest in the architecture of public life and in a way, these photos speak to that." GA. Item #19881
