"I hardly thought I would find a muse like this one. I always heard rumors of love as strong as mine, Eleanor in Callahan’s work kind of love. My love expanded as did my work of my muse, the land around me, my family, my partner, myself. I grew into that love. In my work I began calling myself autonomous, as were my subjects and how I approached them photographically. They stand alone, strong headed and open. I learn from each photograph, how to be more free in my work and how to gift myself those victories when I achieve the exposures. I give myself flowers, berries, pine tree branches. My work, like for many others, is growing with me, with its outstretched arms and heavy camera, I walk forward with every occasional step back. I learn from them and begin to understand my autonomous self better." Item #22467
