New York: (self-published), 2004.
Roe Ethridge's self published book of nearly forty photographs evolved from a commission for Roy McMakin furniture makers. Exploiting the possibilities of the genre both formally and conceptually he uses close-up shots of ordinary objects and generic viewpoints to present them as deadpan icons while exploring the theme of domesticity and consumerism. Etheridge recently exhibited new work at Gagosian in Los Angeles. Item #3194
