She went on to collaborate with him on all his commercial, editorial, and fine-arts projects. She became the founding executive director of The Richard Avedon Foundation in 2004 and in 2017 authored a biography on Avedon entitled, "Something Personal".
Commissioned by The Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth in 1979, the noted fashion photographer, Richard Avedon, spent five years crossing the country west of the plains to capture black and white studies of laborers, farmers, cowboys, truckers, drifters and the like set against a portable white backdrop. The resulting images been hailed as one of the great bodies of work in the canon of post-war photography. Item #3891
