 LuisaViaRoma debuts first international store in New York’s NoHo 

Marking a significant milestone, LuisaViaRoma, which first gained acclaim as a pioneer of online luxury retail in 1999, has inaugurated its first-ever physical storefront outside of Italy. The United States, serving as its largest market beyond Italy and accounting for a quarter of its online sales, was the selected country for this new venture. The boutique is strategically placed in NoHo, Manhattan.

 LuisaViaRoma opens a new flagship in NY.  

 LuisaViaRoma, a historic Florentine store specializing in luxury fashion, today opens its first flagship store in New York City in the heart of Manhattan, at 1 Bond Street, between Broadway and Lafayette Street.

 The opening of the New York store is part of the company's global expansion strategy, following an approach that balances the immediacy of web- and app-based digital services with high-end physical stores where luxury products can be touched and tried on.

LuisaViaRoma opens first flagship in New York

Italian luxury fashion retailer LuisaViaRoma has opened its first store in New York, and thus the first location also outside its home market. The flagship store will open its doors at 1 Bond Street in Manhattan, LuisaViaRoma announced on Monday.

The opening is part of the company's global expansion strategy, which aims to bridge the gap between physical and stationary retail. In addition to the New York location, the retailer operates a flagship store in Florence and an online shop of the same name.

Since nearly all the original prints were lost, the book reproduces everything as it appeared on the page. Some images are blown up to fill full pages; most are included in stacks next to captions in Japanese. Longer texts, most by Moriyama, are translated. His writing is straightforward and unpretentious; an essay on how he came to be involved with Shashin Jidai is terrific.
