Session Press is pleased to present Kid Echo, a new monograph by Korean photographer Sung Jin Park. Photographed throughout the early 2000s and composed entirely of previously unpublished works, Kid Echo revisits the world of adolescence first explored in Park’s acclaimed monograph Kid Nostalgia. Through a newly edited selection of portraits made in Seoul and its outskirts, the book reveals Park’s remarkable sensitivity to the emotional complexity of youth. Born in Seoul and educated at Pratt Institute in New York, Park developed a photographic vision shaped by both classic photography and cinema. Rather than documenting youth culture as a social phenomenon, he was drawn to moments of vulnerability, uncertainty, and self-discovery. As Park reflects in an interview with writer and curator Marc Feustel included in the book, his goal was to capture “the moment of emotion” and allow each subject’s individuality to emerge. Carefully edited by the artist and printed on a rich matte paper stock, Kid Echo offers an intimate and contemplative portrait of adolescence. Tender, instinctive, and emotionally resonant, the book stands as a powerful reflection on youth, memory, and the fleeting beauty of growing up. Item #31137
