ITEM AVAILABILITY
Sometimes the items we have posted online don’t match the items in store. We will contact you if the item you requested is not in stock and modify the order accordingly. If we do not hear back after two weeks of contacting you, available items will be released.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING
Domestic orders are shipped using UPS, except for zines, which are shipped using USPS. Expedited delivery and private carrier services are available for an additional charge, please contact us for options (info@dashwoodbooks.com). We do not ship using Media Mail. All orders are shipped on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Orders over $250 and all orders shipped to New York City will require signature and an additional charge of $6.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Most international orders are shipped via UPS. We will send you tracking information once in transit. Customers are responsible for any duties that need to be paid and any costs related to packages that are unable to be delivered. It can take up to 2 weeks to receive your order. Most delays in international deliveries are due to customs, import duties, or local guidelines. Please track your packages before contacting Dashwood.
tracking
We will provide a tracking number for all shipped orders with the exception of gift certificates. It is the responsibility of the client to be available to receive the package, and to track their package in a timely manner to receive updates on delivery attempts and pick-up requests. If a package is returned to the store due to the failure of the client to do so, Dashwood Books won't refund any shipping fees and will deduct any additional fees charged by the shipping company.
returns
All online sales are final.
claims
We are a small business so please be patient. We do not accept claims on orders older than six months. If the package is returned to the store, we have to wait for item to arrive to make any decisions.
Before submitting a claim, make sure to ask your neighbors and wait at least a week to see if the package is delivered. The information you see on your tracking is the same information we have access to.
If a book arrives damaged, please submit a claim with pictures of the damaged items and packaging within two weeks of delivery.
pre-orders
You can buy books ahead of book signings. Books will be shipped a couple days after the event happens. Please bear in mind that costumers attending the event will be preferred.
in-store pick-up
We offer in-store pick-up for local orders. All pick-up orders will be charged local tax. Only local orders are offered in-store pick-up, if you are visiting and wish to pick-up books while you are here, use the store’s address as shipping address and select pick-up as shipping service.
Please pick-up orders within a month of placing them, orders that stay longer will be shipped at the expense of the costumer. We are not responsible for any unclaimed pick-up orders older than six months.
