Having been a Scott Mendes roadie for over 4 years, artist Darren Bader has left the tour. But not before completing the Scott Mendes Comic Book Trilogy. 2019 saw the Biennale premiere of Scott Mendes's Venice; 2021 brought about the outer regions of Pleonasm; now in 2023, 'Tinar Cadiägo coasts in on zephyrs and ageless tides. Packaged together, the trilogy features all sorts of oddities, advertising gambits, questionable profundities, and the undying belief in visual literature (visual translation: Erica Ohmi). Darren Bader's Scott Mendes's ’Tinar Cadiägo is the third and final volume in the Scott Mendes Comic Book Trilogy (preceded by Venice and Pleonasm). Set on what may or may not be an island, 'Tinar Cadiägo takes us from beach to parking lot to amphitheater, then back to beach. Along the way we encounter: sock defecation, a school bus, masks, the West Wind, and a reunion. Once again the comic book features 5 original advertisements. Darren Bader's Scott Mendes's Pleonasm is the second volume in the Scott Mendes comic book trilogy. Repurposing the "Mendesian" universe Bader originally conceived for the 2019 Venice Biennale, Pleonasm transports the reader to: an anonymous future, the belly of a whale, present day Manhattan, and somewhere near Jupiter. In keeping with Bader's general oeuvre, the reader will encounter a variety of oddities, meditations, and recontextualizations. The comic book also features 5 original advertisements. 

Scott Mendes's Venice is the first volume in Darren Bader's Scott Mendes Comic Book Trilogy. Published and distributed on the occasion of the 2019 Venice Biennale, the comic's protagonists, Pierce Brosnan and Giorgio de Chirico, unexpectedly find themselves in Venice: at the mercy of God, seagulls, occult forces and H2O. Supporting cast includes a basketball legend, Silicon Valley mogul, and a dating app.
