“Julianne” is photographer Kevin Hatt’s second zine published by Dashwood after the success of “Chloë and Harmony ’94”. It features a shoot with the American actress Julianne Nicholson who won Emmy’s for her roles in Mare of Easttown and Hacks and recently starred as in the dystopian political thriller Paradise. Hatt together with his partner, the stylist Simone Colina, photographed Nicholson on location in Washington Heights, north of Harlem back in her modeling days in 1989. Simone Colina : “A personal favorite collaboration from a series of early 90’s location sittings w/Kevin Hatt, these images of Julianne convey a softly powerful intimacy, present in much of his work beyond the studio.  Through this lens, imagined reality is a tangible construction of fluent connection, attraction & trust between photographer, subject & environment.” Julianne Nicholson : “…I always loved working with them. They helped open my eyes to what creativity, authenticity, and expression could look like. I am so happy to be reminded of these pictures which so beautifully capture how I remember my early NYC days. “
